Obviously having too few would result in extremely high hourly profits, and too many would result in stalls losing money. This would help in trying to estimate how many stalls to put out. Instead, I decided to analyze exactly how much guests were spending on food and drinks. I tried using the same method as the rides and restrooms to record data on the stalls, but because the guests buy so few food and drink, it did not result in any useful information.
A drink from the Drink Stall would eliminate all thirst. Guests would drink and walk, and seemed to like to continue to walk around until the drink was gone. The burger would completely eliminate all hunger, however the cotton candy would only remove around 50% of a guest’s hunger. Guests would not consume while walking, they would eat while sitting on benches, in queues, and on rides. While studying the profit, I also studied how each item changed the guest’s food\drink status bar. I set everything to make $1 profit per item sold. Using the profit per hour for each type of vendor and the number of guests in the park, I hope to find out some correlation, and therefore, the optimal number of guests per food\drink stall.Īround September of Year 1 the guests started getting hungry, so I built 2 Burger Bars, 2 Drink Stalls and one Cotton Candy Stall. For the food and drink data, I recorded the profit per hour 5 times throughout the 3 year park.
